Dear Mr. Lamantia: 

I am thrilled to report that the 15^th Annual Detroit Lions Courage House was a great success.  Our event held on December 9, 2008 at Ford Field with approximately 400 attending and raising over $70,000.  In addition to many Detroit Lions alumni, we had a large contingent of former Ed Block Courage Award recipients, current players, their spouses and coaches at the event. 

Bill Curry served as our keynote speaker, with a very inspirational message for those attending. The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the 2007 Ed Block Courage Award to Daniel Bullocks.

The Detroit Lions Courage House Committee, as always, is a wonderful group of individuals who truly have a passion to make a difference in the lives of abused children. Their efforts each and every year, makes a powerful difference in HAVEN’s ability to provide quality services to the children residing in our shelter. 

We at HAVEN are so blessed to be a part of the Ed Block Courage Award Foundation.
