National Courage House Network
A Courage House is a facility or program that provides support and quality care for abused, neglected and at-risk children and their families in a particular community. Since it is traditionally an existing facility, the Courage House’s prevailing identity and standing is augmented, not eliminated, by forming a partnership with its respective NFL franchise and the Ed Block Courage Award Foundation, e.g., the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Courage House at Holy Family Institute. Though the 27 affiliated Courage Houses have separate missions, they all have a common goal; assisting the most vulnerable of our society.
Courage Houses are provided with a $10,000 grant upon their dedication as a new member of the National Courage House Network and exclusive access to our community initiatives including the Sam Lamantia Founder’s Award and Mo Gaba Courage Award. They are also promoted throughout all of the Ed Block Courage Award Foundation’s year-round marketing and digital content.
